Introduction
We're the two-person team behind Captured By Light. When we started shooting weddings, we kept noticing the same thing: most wedding films looked staged, slow, and strangely alike — all the same drone shots, the same swelling music, the same rehearsed moments.
That's not what a wedding actually feels like. It's loud and a little chaotic. People cry during the vows and laugh too hard at the toasts. Someone always starts a conga line nobody planned for. We chase that — the real texture of the day — with a camera in hand and as little interference as possible.
We shoot photography and film side by side, which means one crew, one shared shot list, and a story that holds together across both. You'll spend a long time planning this day. We want you to be able to step back into it, in full color and sound, for the rest of your life.
To give every couple real time and attention, we keep our calendar deliberately small — around fifteen weddings a year.

“They photographed my parents crying during the first look and my cousin's terrible dance moves with the same care. That's the whole gallery, honestly — it's just us.”Rosalind, married in October
